Born in Charleston, South Carolina in 1962, and moved to the Blue Ridge Mountain area in Virginia as a child. My Mother was an Elvis fan & of course, I became one at an early age. Began imitating Elvis at age 9 and at age 20, entered an amateur talent show in Virginia Beach where I came in 2nd place (only Elvis impersonator in the contest). There was a talent scout in the audience who approached me and introduced me to a local band (who did the top 40 hits). She booked us in our first few gigs & then we began to play at various places, primarily in the Virginia Beach and surrounding area East Coast, North Carolina, Chesapeake, Norfolk, etc.

As a child, Elvis' Music was always an escape for me and I found it soothed the soul during troubled times. Upon beginning an endeavor as an Elvis Impersonator, and meeting other impersonators, I realized a lot of them thought they were Elvis and took on names that were similar or incorporated his name in theirs. I have always felt there was only one Elvis and consider it an honor & privilege to portray him. Therefore, I felt that "Memories of Elvis" (now "My Memories of Elvis") was respectful and sent the right message to everyone who attended my shows. I am purely trying to do my best to portray the most talented entertainer of all times & in no way would ever want anyone to think I perceive myself as anything but a very fortunate man blessed with the privilege of keeping Elvis' memory alive.

I consider myself as a fan first & foremost and everything else follows. I take my position as an impersonator very seriously and work very hard to ensure that I portray Elvis in the best manner that I am capable of. I portray the '70 - 75' (white suit) era of Elvis' career, as I personally feel he was at his peak, both vocally & physically and gave his best performances. This mostly entails Las Vegas through the Aloha Hawaii satellite concert.

After 24 years of portraying the King, I still find it overwhelming each & every show, as did Elvis. It keeps one striving for more, which I can only hope will continue to ensure that each performance becomes a little better than the previous one. I especially enjoy Elvis' Gospel Music & incorporate at least a few selections in each show. Elvis' Gospel Music with his rich voice touches the soul and I strive to achieve that when I perform his spiritual songs.
